2. Chest Pressure or Discomfort
Not all heart-related chest symptoms feel like severe pain.
Some people describe it as:
– Tightness
– Pressure
– Burning
– Fullness
– Mild squeezing
The discomfort may come and go, and some people mistake it for indigestion, stress, or muscle strain.
Any unexplained chest discomfort should be taken seriously, especially if it happens repeatedly.
3. Shortness of Breath
If you suddenly become out of breath during activities that normally feel easy, your heart may be trying to tell you something.
Shortness of breath can happen because the heart is struggling to pump blood efficiently, causing fluid buildup in the lungs.
Some people notice this symptom while walking, exercising, or even lying down at night.
4. Pain in the Arm, Neck, Jaw, or Back
Heart-related pain does not always stay in the chest.
Pain or discomfort can spread to other areas of the body, especially:
– Left arm
– Shoulders
– Neck
– Jaw
– Upper back
In some cases, this pain may appear before chest symptoms.
Women are especially more likely to experience unusual symptoms that may not look like a “classic” heart attack
