- 1 medium onion , finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and black pepper , to taste
- 2 boiled eggs , chopped
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or any melty cheese)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley , plus extra for garnish
- 1–2 pickled cucumbers , finely chopped (optional, for added tang)
For Assembly:
- 1 package puff pastry (store-bought or homemade), thawed if frozen
- 1 egg yolk , beaten (for egg wash)
