Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Nut Filling
In a bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, pistachios, and cinnamon.
Mix well and set aside.
Step 2: Assemble the Rolls
Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and lightly brush with melted butter.
Add another sheet on top and brush again.
Sprinkle a thin layer of the nut mixture across the bottom edge.
Carefully roll the pastry into a tight log.
Repeat until all ingredients are used.
Step 3: Cut and Bake
Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking tray.
Brush the tops with remaining melted butter.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Step 4: Make the Syrup
While the rolls bake, combine honey, sugar, water, lemon juice, and vanilla in a saucepan.
Simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow the syrup to cool slightly.
Step 5: Finish the Baklava Rolls
As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, pour the syrup evenly over them.
Allow them to soak for at least 30 minutes before serving.
